HELP MIKE ROSSMAN RECOVER FROM A STROKE
**Known as βThe Jewish Bomber",β Mike Rossman won the WBA world light heavyweight championship in a flawless performance against Argentine legend Victor Galindez on September 15, 1978. He was just 22 years old. After defending his title once, Rossman lost the crown back to Galindez the following year. As a professional, Rossman compiled a record of 44-7-3, with 27 KOs, against top-level opponents including Mike Quarry, Lonnie Bennett, Yaqui Lopez, Dwight Muhammad Qawi, Aldo Traversaro, Christy Elliott, Mike Nixon, Ray Anderson, Gary Summehays, Luke Camuano, and Matt Donovan, at legendary venues like Madison Square Garden, The Spectrum, New Orleans Superdome, and several casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City.
Recently, Mike Rossman suffered a stroke and is facing an extended recovery. He is currently in rehab, beginning physical therapy. We are raising money to aid in his recovery and help him pay for the may expenses connected to his recuperation. Boxing takes a physical toll on the fighters we love and unfortunately, there are no safety nets in existence to help support them as they age and succumb to physical and mental disabilities associated with the sport.
After providing us with many unforgettable boxing moments, Mike Rossman now needs our help. Please consider donating to this campaign to support Mike. The Veteran Boxers Association- Ring one of Philadelphia is collecting donations and will forward 100% of the money received to Mike Rossman and his family for the express purpose of assisting his recovery. Any amount you donate will help us reach our goal. We thank you for your support.
